KickAbout is built mobile-first with accessibility in mind and aims to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
Our Commitment
KickAbout is committed to making pickup sports accessible to players of all abilities. We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA published by the W3C. KickAbout is available only to users 18 years of age or older.
Standards We Follow
All interactive elements are built with semantic HTML, accessible names, keyboard support, and visible focus states aligned with WCAG 2.1 AA.
Progressive Web App
KickAbout is a Progressive Web App. You can install it directly from your mobile browser via the Add to Home Screen prompt — no app store download is required. The installed PWA respects your device's system text size, reduced-motion, and dark-mode settings.
Mobile Accessibility
KickAbout is built mobile-first. Tap targets meet the 44x44 point minimum recommended by accessibility guidelines, and all primary actions are one-thumb reachable.
Assistive Technology
The app is tested with VoiceOver on iOS and TalkBack on Android. All interactive controls have accessible labels and visible focus indicators. Forms include visible labels and inline error messages.
Known Limitations
Some third-party embeds (such as map providers) may not fully match our standards.

Formal Complaints
